Topsham Folk Club is held every Sunday at the Globe Hotel, Fore Street, Topsham. Singers and musicians are welcome and entrance on singers nights is free. If you want to perform on a singers night, please make sure you arrive by 8.15pm and make yourself known to the evening's compere. People normally perform 2 songs or tunes within a 10 minute slot. Don't worry it is not compulsory to perform! you are welcome to come along and just listen. Most Sunday's are singers nights and are held in the restaurant starting at 8.30pm. Guest nights are held in the Malt House at the rear of the Globe and start at 8pm. Singers and guest nights finish by 11pm. For directions click here. |

| 19 Sept 2010 | MIRANDA SYKES & REX PRESTON Miranda has been described as a ‘musical chameleon’ reflecting the way that she so easily slips between musical genres as diverse as folk, jazz and rock/pop. She continues to build a solo repertoire of contemporary and narrative songs that are showcased to critical acclaim on her recent album ‘Bliss’. She has recently started working with mandolin player Rex Preston whose style and fluidity augment her songs beautifully. |
